Review by hotel critic
Nestled in a lush, rainforest-like setting, the Glasshouse offers a surprisingly high value for what you pay. The spacious, clean rooms come equipped with every necessary amenity, including free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, perfect after a long day of exploring the area around Nottingham. There's a lovely outdoor dining area to enjoy the surroundings, and the service is refreshingly straightforward-not over-the-top, yet attentive. The owners even took the time to personally address a minor hiccup we had with a damaged cot. It's those little nuances that set this place apart. In terms of convenience, the paid shuttle service was a game changer for our midnight arrival, eliminating the typical city fuss. Plus, with laundry facilities and a shared kitchen stocked with cookware, it felt like a home away from home. For those weighing the balance of luxury against cost, I'd say the Glasshouse presents an alluring proposition-plenty of comfort without breaking the bank. It's an understated gem worth considering.
